What is AirTouch
and How Does It Work?

AirTouch is a smart zoning controller that adds true room-by-room temperature control to a ducted heat pump or air conditioning system. Each room can be set to its own temperature, based on how the space is actually used.

Compatible with ducted systems from brands such as Mitsubishi, Daikin, and Fujitsu, AirTouch replaces single-thermostat control with individual room sensors. Motorised dampers then adjust airflow to each zone, delivering more heating or cooling where it’s needed and less where it’s not.

The result is a system that responds to real conditions inside your home, rather than averaging temperature and comfort across the whole house. AirTouch can even switch off rooms that are not needed to save power.

Does AHP Sell or
Install AirTouch?

Albany Heat Pumps supplies and installs AirTouch as an add-on to ducted heat pump systems. AirTouch is offered as an optional upgrade rather than a standard inclusion.

Our team specialises in AirTouch installations rather than offering multiple competing smart controller brands. This ensures the system is installed, configured, and balanced correctly for your home and ducted layout.

Why Would I Need AirTouch If My Ducted System Already Has Zoning?

Many ducted heat pump systems include manufacturer zoning – such as from Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu – which allows airflow to be directed to different areas of the home. However, traditional controllers do not truly control temperature on a room-by-room basis.

True Room-by-Room Temperature Control

Better Comfort in Real Homes

Homes don’t heat or cool evenly. Sun exposure, room size, insulation levels, and ceiling height all affect how each space behaves.

Smarter Use of Airflow

AirTouch doesn’t treat zoning as a simple on/off function.

Easy-to-Use App Control

AirTouch is designed around a mobile app, making it easy to understand and simple to use.
Traditional wall-mounted controllers often rely on menu-heavy, commercial-style interfaces, with Wi-Fi added as an optional extra. AirTouch’s app-first design means people actually use the system rather than setting it once and living with compromises.

AirTouch Warranty and Support

AirTouch comes with:
With local installation and servicing, support is available if adjustments or troubleshooting are ever required.

When AirTouch Makes the Most Sense

AirTouch is particularly well suited to:

Homes where bedrooms have different temperature preferences

Multi-storey homes

Houses with strong sun exposure on one side

Families with different schedules

Home offices or rooms used at different times of day
